People knew that Harvey Weinstein was a POS for decades. Most simply didn't know to what extent he was a POS. Most just thought he was a self-centered, misogynist asshole. If every self-centered, misogynist asshole in Hollywood were given the boot, the entire film industry would shut down. The women who were victimized by Harvey kept quiet about it for decades. The same may hold true with Majors.
As for his place in the MCU, if Edward Norton can be replaced without anyone being bothered by it, getting a new Kang won't be a problem.

Josh Brolin had some red flags in his past as well, but he kept his nose clean while playing Thanos and nothing happened to bring it back up and they got away with it. I guess they thought the same would happen with Majors.

If he's going to have to be recast, I would prefer they just go with multiple different actors, but I could picture Disney/Marvel only casting one actor due to finances.

Very interesting!
Court of public opinion has already been tried though. Really sucks if he didn't do a thing - he is one of the better young American actors we have right now (maybe not terribly young) and would be a shame to lose everything to a lie, or what sounds like a case of cop coaching.
