I know this has been asked time and time again, and Ive done searches to see which ones are the best and its always a whole bunch of different answers, so I figured to ask here. I have Avast but that doesnt catch a damn thing, I know I have viruses on my computer, but when I do a check with Avast, nothing comes up. I was thinking about buying a Norton program, but I read that its not that great. I just need to stop watching porn(which will never happen btw).

AVG (Ain't Very Good) sucks, I don't want to even bother explaining how and why, just do the research on it in your own time. I can't tell you how many computers I've fixed that had AVG on it. Stay FAR FAR away. I would rather take a dump inside the case of my computer than stick AVG on it. Kaspersky has a great detection rate for viruses. If you're looking at a lot of porn (which sounds like the case) you probably have more than just viruses, you probably have a lot of spyware and adware crap on there as well. Webroot has their ultra lite scanner called "Secure Anywhere" that helps find a lot of the junk that many antivirus programs are not going to detect. Secure Anywhere does not do a really great job of removal IF the spyware is active however, and can find false positives at time (nowhere near AVG's engine though).
Look, here's a simply trick to clean viruses off an infected system. Buy a hard drive USB adapter at Best Buy or from Amazon or whatever. Take your infected hard drive out, plug it into the adapter and then plug the drive into a CLEAN running computer with an antivirus program on it. As the USB drive is not running an active operating system, the files are not locked under layers of services and other running programs. Scan the USB drive for viruses that are now easily removed because they are sitting dormant for the moment. Clean those off, plug your hard drive back in and boot it back up. Works most of the time - UNLESS the virus has corrupted a system file, in which case you may have to repair Windows, but 9 times out of 10 this little trick works pretty good. When looking at Porn, just run your browser (Chrome) in Incognito mode, which will help, and NEVER install anything they say you need to view a video.

Yeah you definitely don't ever download any odd viewer programs from anywhere. AVG has been good for my use (plus it's free) but yeah not perfect - nothing is. I have had to reboot my system back to factory settings a couple of times due to some insidious spyware. Good tip about the USB Adapter though

I have been using Avast for years now without issue. Doubtful you have a virus issue if it is not catching anything. Probably malware. Download malwarebytes and run it after it updates. Then run again in safe mode to fully clean your system.
As far as browsing porn and not getting junk on your system, use Firefox with the adblock and no script addons. Will prevent crap from installing in the background as you browse the GILF pictures.
Do not buy Norton or anything else, Avast free works fine in combination with malwarebytes.

^ This has been my setup for the last 3 or 4 years and I've had no issues (touch wood).
Then again, I never watch porn.

No porn here, although back in the day I looked at way too much porn. No issues then or now.
Now it is tons of software downloads for my testing/training purposes and the sources are not always legit if you catch my drift. Again no issues with my setup.

Thats pretty much my set up as well. Avast plus Malwarebytes has always been enough to catch/clean up anything on my system.
