I don't love Waititi, but I did find Ragnarok amusing and even though Jojo Rabbit struck me as fundamentally misguided, it was still made with energy and charm. This on the other hand was a slog. It's one of the most hideously ugly movies Marvel has ever made, the story's a mess, Thor's character feels completely bungled from the interesting places Ragnarok-Endgame took hom, and the movie is completely laugh-free despite essentially being a full-blown comedy. I found most of the movie to be annoying and a waste of time.

Bale did rule though.
