Fantastic writing, staging, and they really let the actors cook. I'm all-in.

I watched the first two episodes. The first one was pretty good, a nice lead up to a satisfying conclusion.

The second episode was a step down. John Lithgow's scenes are great but it was getting tiresome watching Jeff Bridges flirt with a single mom for most of the episode. I thought the episode had totally redeemed itself when

Bridges killed the two cops then shot the mom which was so intense

but then you realize it's just a vision that Bridges had and in reality he does nothing. That weak shit is straight out of the last Twilight movie. I'll watch the third and fourth episodes this weekend but I'm on the fence.

Overall, I thought it was really strong, with phenomenal acting, intense direction and writing, etc. But I WILL say the second half of the season felt slower than the first half.
