SnoBorderZero’s new movie deadline.com/2022/05/robin-wright-tom-hanks-robert-zemeckis-eric-roth-forest-gump-reteam-sony-pictures-miramax-1235021582/Sony Pictures has preemptively acquired U..S rights to Miramax’s Here, a film adaptation of the celebrated Richard McGuire graphic novel that will reunite the Forrest Gump team: Academy Award winners director Robert Zemeckis, screenwriter Eric Roth and star Tom Hanks, with Robin Wright also starring. It’s the quartet’s first time back together since the 1994 film classic, which won six Oscars including Best Picture. Based on McGuire’s graphic novel, Here is described as a breathtaking and revolutionary odyssey through time and memory. The innovative story is centered around a place in New England where from wilderness, and then, later, a home – love, loss, struggle, hope and legacy play out between couples and families over generations. The film begins production in September.

He turned down The Flash and didn't have to deal with Ezra Miller's shit, so give him credit for that.

Who can piss away more money at this point in their careers: Zemeckis or Roland Emmerich? It's pretty close.

Yeah to be fair, we all know exactly what we're getting into with an Emmerich movie and expectations should never be higher than low. Zemeckis is just straight up disappointing with how much he's nosedived.

Zemeckis briefly flirted with being really good again with both Flight and Allied...but then he just had to go and do The Witches.

Another expensive, expensive movie. This seems to have way more going for it than any of his recent efforts, but my god is no one hesitant to not throw this guy millions of dollars? Hasn't had a hit in a very long time and the losses have been huge.

It's an ambitious and interesting aesthetic. At least projects to be more unique than anything he's done in awhile.

The part the top left picture shows in the trailer looks so awkward. Like his head is literally cut and pasted onto a different body. (which I suppose it kinda is)
