Besides PhantomKnight , has anyone seen this garbage? Here's what I don't get: the movie starts and ends with two spectacular action scenes on a train, but everything in-between is boring and uninspired. Even Johnny Depp sleep walks through his performance! Did Gore Verbinski make this movie purely for those action scenes? That's messed up if he did. You know this movie sucks when Wild Wild West is a masterpiece by comparison. That's how bad Hollywood is these days. The bad movies of the past are the good movies of the present. And what's truly sad is that 2 years earlier, Verbinski and Depp made the awesome western, Rango. They should have quit while they were ahead. D- says Doomsday |

I finally saw over the summer. Much too long and self indulegent but that final train sequence was pretty fantastic.

I stumble across this whenever I browse megashare. I don't know if I'll ever get the sand to watch it all the way through.

I won't deny this movie has its problems -- it does -- but I've come around on it in a sort of guilty pleasure way.

Hasn't everybody else already done that? I didn't bother to keep track of everything. My criticism is in broad strokes. Ramplate, however, is the guy who should breakdown the movie to its tiniest flaws. |
