I peered into the vastness and saw nothing. Felt nothing.

I am looking forward for that! I can watch it. I remember I watch old Batman Returns movies. When I was 14 years old. That was so long time ago!

Either this is SnoBorderZero and Doomsday on the set of Candy Cane Lane or a scene from the Penguin. Y’all decide.

Bloody fantastic all the way through. Farrell and Milioti should at least have Emmy nominations already locked.

What a finale. Definitely can't accuse this show of pulling its punches. I was rooting for Oz until he had to go and do his worst action yet.
Kudos to HBO for not trying to pivot this show into some half-assed antihero take on Penguin. At times I'd be rooting for him, and then he'd commit another atrocity and we're reminded that he's a horrible villain and not some misunderstood soul. Watching crap like Venom and Solo that are afraid of embracing the protagonist being an actual bad guy shows what a misguided approach that is that satisfies no one. This is how it's done. Bring on season two.

As in Han Solo?? Yeah. I mean he's not a villain, but he certainly wasn't morally dubious whatsoever in Ron Howard's dull prequel of the character. He's fully in it for the money when we meet him in A New Hope. There was potential to have a lot more fun exploring him being an actual space scoundrel. My point is studio's attempts at antihero movies like Venom and Solo have been awful at best and The Penguin had the common sense to avoid doing that altogether.

My weak defense of the movie is that it's an origin story about him becoming the space scoundrel we get in ANH. By the end he is a guy who "shoots first."
