Euphoria (HBO)

Okay I'll start it's all style no substance, it's for people who love the cw but have never sat through an art house movie in their lives.

Some of the shots are gorgeous, the music really adds to the whole environment, I'd say season 1 is pretty good all things considered.

Jules and rue are by far the worst parts of the whole series. The drug dealer fezco is by far the most interesting part, but there are real jump the shark style scenes especially in the second season (that finale is.... Questionable at best). Levinson really throws every kind of story telling at the wall to see what sticks and sometimes it's okay, the breaking of the 4th wall can be obnoxious to a certain degree and the artsiness of other story points induces a lot of eye rolls.

Apparently Levinson wanted the women to be topless almost the entire series, thankfully he was talked out of this but there is almost nowhere they can go from here for the more interesting parts of the series. His own drug use apparently inspired the story but I'm not sure if he ever actually set foot in a real high school before.
