The movie itself doesn't look that bad, but the notion of a Force Awakens-style legacy sequel to fucking Ghostbusters of all things is ridiculous. Granted, I don't hold the original Ghostbusters up on a Holy Pedestal of Reverence like a lot of movie fans do, but the idea of a Force Awakens-style legacy sequel to it doesn't perturb me at all. I mean, if the alternative is movies like the 2016 reboot, then sure, go for it. Yeah! I just saw that! Wow! Just like the old days. I remember I watched the first movie when I was kid. Wow! That was a long time ago! I am very surprised! |

Does anyone wanna come over to my side? I offer now as the time to do so. Coming from somebody who merely just likes the original instead of loves it...this was a very pleasant, delightful surprise. The comparisons to early Spielberg works are warranted and earned, and the movie even moved me toward the end.
Sony shoulda led with this one instead of the Paul Feig movie.

Whew boy, have I seen some. If this the worst, you clearly haven’t seen anything this year. Agreed. Nothing I've seen this year matches the dynamic duo of Tulsa and The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, but there have been some real shitstains. It's not even the worst movie I saw this weekend, though I'm pretty sure Clifford and Christmas vs. the Walters came out last week and I just didn't have time to screen them. |

The only interesting thing about Clifford is that the bad guy was in a much better movie this year called Nine Days, which also proved he looks better with a beard.

I always thought that poster was bullshit. You know your movie is named Clifford, but the most famous Clifford in media is a dog which the movie has nothing to do with, but the poster has a doghouse and Martin Short holding a large chain leading off the image making one wonder if there is a big red dog at the end.
Refuse to watch the movie because of blatant false advertising.

It's an uninspired also ran but it has some heart to it, it's def the lowest tier with the og cast, I didn't hate it, prob won't ever watch it again but I'll look for the sequels. The kids didn't annoy me too much. Podcast was the best though.
