The only thing I picked up for Black Friday was an $8 copy of Mad Men Season 7 part 2. Sigh, i hate when they do that. Just call it season 8 and be done with it. If HBO pulls this with Game of Thrones I'm gonna be pissed. It's a legal thing. The actors are contracted for a certain number of seasons and if they call the last one season 8 instead of part of season 7 the actors suddenly have reason to expect a lot more money. That this will happen with Game of Thrones is almost a foregone conclusion.

If it helps, they can't film more than 10 episodes at a time. And there's not 20 episodes of content left.

You've got a lot of converting to do wildstar. Yeah, that's probably never going to happen. Used DVD prices are really low if you know where to look because so many of them were produced. Nowhere near as many blurays have been produced, and since digital downloads are slowly replacing them, it doesn't seem likely that blurays will ever be as common as DVDs. If they're not common, they're not cheap. If they're not cheap, I'm not converting. Most of my collection only cost one or two dollars each.

I got my used DVD's at FYE, but they no longer exist where I live. Big Lots tends to sell cheap Blu-Ray's.

From what I understand, these stores aren't common everywhere, but there's a bunch of them where I live. So many in fact that they have HUGE warehouse sales twice a year. I don't know if they do warehouse sales everywhere, or just D/FW, where the company started.

Frizzo the Clown Doomsday thebtskink IanTheCool Justin SnoBorderZero WyldstaarI spent $100 at Best Buy today. Among my purchases was the Shout Factory release of Army of Darkness. It comes with three (or four) versions of the movie: theatrical, directors, international and the special features says it includes the full screen TV version. Shit cost me like 30 bucks, but whatever. I've never owned Army of Darkness cause there was too many DVD's and Blu-Ray's to choose from. I remember in the early days of CS! one of the most popular threads was people bitching/discussing all of these Army of Darkness releases. I guess I'll settle for this one cause it seems to have everything. Different versions of the movie + tons of special features. Plus, it's Shout Factory. They do good work.

I saw that the store on the WB lot sells a bunch of new blu rays for about $11 that run around $19 on Amazon. My haul was Empire of the Sun, Bonnie & Clyde, Papillon and the newly watched Poltergeist.

Interesting, I just watched Army of Darkness last night. I just have the universal bluray though.

I have a version I bought at Wal-Mart many years ago. Its called "Bruce Campbell Vs. Army of Darkness - The Director's Cut (Official Bootleg Version)." That title is a fucking mouthful.

A.I. has been ejected from my collection.
American History X and Gone Girl remain on the chopping block.

Has anyone ever sold their slip covers? Apparently there is a market for them, but I don't know how good of a market.

I like slip covers when I get them but it's not a deal breaker. But you're right, a lot of people will pay some bucks for a good-condition slip cover.

If I send them within Canada it might be worth it. I keep some slip covers, others I think look better without.

Another giant stack of movies was added to my collection this weekend. About 60 titles, including several box sets, such as Band of Brothers, The Pacific and MST3K vol. 7. I forgot to count them before I put them on the shelf. I suppose I should make a count of the entire collection at some point. I've had to begin stacking most of the box sets on top of the cabinet.
Pics pending

You don't come across a sale where everything is $2 every day. You've got to strike when the opportunity presents itself. A $30 DVD box set for only $2? Yes, please!
