Good shit. That tower to the left of the TV worries me though, doesn't look too stable.

My time in high school had a different movie every year for slacking off. Freshman year we watched Gotcha! (1985) in German class. Sophomore year we watched The Great Race (1965) in World History. Junior year was My Fair Lady (1964) in English Literature. Senior year was To Kill A Mockingbird (1962) in American Literature.

Good shit. That tower to the left of the TV worries me though, doesn't look too stable. It's just as stable as the tower to the right of the TV. They're both quite secure. There's some reinforcement that isn't easily seen. It does look as though it's leaning in the picture, but that's just a trick of the light.

You ain’t lived till it’s the day before Christmas vacation and you’re watching Jingle All The Way at school.

I'll grant you My Fair Lady & To Kill A Mockingbird, especially since we only watched them because we were reading the books. Gotcha! is anything but educational. The Great Race was just an old-school "cast of thousands" slapstick comedy. We only watched it because it was the teacher's favorite film.

Yep. There's also a PC, PS4, Xbox 360 and NES mini hooked up to that TV. The other TV has a PS2, Wii, Genesis, SNES mini, and an Atari emulator. I like keeping my options open.

I only have Incredible Hulk in digital format -- couldn't justify a physical copy for that.

Follow-up: I ended up getting The Incredible Hulk on Blu-Ray. Are you happy now, Dracula and IanTheCool, ya sticklers?

Peer pressure claims another victim. Nah, it was the question of, "What would my future kids think if I showed them the MCU and there was just one movie missing?" Gotta think three steps ahead.

For continuity's sake, yes. I tend to avoid buying movies on DVD now if I can help it, anyway.

The selling point is the HDR which depends entirely on who’s working on it. Batman 89, for example, is ass on 4K HDR. Sometimes it’s better sticking to the Blu Ray.

There are a couple of questionable discs out there (as tends to be the case with most newish formats) but for the most part they're clear improvements and are often chances to solve the mistakes of the past. Predator for example looked horrible on blu-ray, but 4K redeemed it.

Its going to be a long time before I buy a 4K tv, so I'll stick with blu for a while.

DVDs don't look so hot on modern TVs. Their quality didn't last very long, really. My DVD collection feels useless.
1080p has been a great staple for a long while now and looks great even on 4K televisions. Have had no issues with blu-ray at all, and all the new blu-rays I buy come with digital and 4K anyway, so I'm set. 4K looks pretty nice, but I don't find it absolutely necessary.

I've no plans yet to upgrade to 4K. I just had to buy and new AC/heating unit, so I'll be in debt for quite a while. Whenever I finally do, I'll go big. A minimum of an 82" screen. That's going to take another long while to save up for.
