Yes, should be a capsule review on Letterboxd eventually. Kind of have other reviews to catch up with first and I'm distracted by Deathloop at the moment. Yo is Deathloop good? Yes, very.

You playing on PS5 or something else? PS5, it makes great use of the rumble on the haptic feedback.

So, discounting southern's ballot (sorry, southern): The Lion King, Videodrome, All About My Mother, Blow Out, Casino, Dazed and Confused and The Thin Red Line make the cut.
Final Tally:
The Lion King - 4 Videodrome - 4 All About My Mother - 3 Blow Out - 3 Casino - 3 Dazed and Confused - 3 The Thin Red Line - 3
Everything else - 2, 1 or 0.

Before I post mine...any hope at all at this point for Good Will Hunting and/or The Untouchables? Not so sure anymore about the latter. With the addition of Blow Out now, we have good De Palma representation between that and Scarface, but The Untouchables is still great. That train station scene alone... Masterclass in suspense.

I personally prefer both to most of the ones put forth so far (that I've seen), but if not...I've got two comedies in my back pocket I've been meaning to give a whirl.

I think it's probably this round and one more until we get over 100.
I'll have my noms by tomorrow, but I got to think.

I like The Untouchables but I don't love it. Has some good highlights but the overall story and pacing don't really do it for me. I could maybe horse trade for it if I were really in a pinch. As Good Will Hunting... it's okay, but I'm not sure it would even make my top five Gus Van Sant movies.

Nightmare on Elm St Part 3: Dream Warriors The Blob remake The Green Mile Misery Stand by Me I definitely prefer Nightmare 1 and don't see myself voting The Green Mile. Haven't seen The Blob remake. And if we're talking Rob Reiner, When Harry Met Sally is probably still worth considering.
