I saw this topic in another forum a while back. I think we had something similar before, maybe? On the other forums? Not sure but I thought I would resurrect a thread where we post our opinions that may fall outside the mainstream. I'll start with a couple.
Ghostbusters (1984) - Try as I might to love this movie, I just can't. I know some people consider it an 80s comedy masterpiece and it does have some good laugh out loud moments but to me it falls under the category of 'pretty good.'
Taken 2 - This isn't a great movie by any stretch but it's still pretty damn fun. Completely absurd? Absolutely and it has some laughably bad scenes (randomly throwing grenades and blowing up cars just to pinpoint a location) but it's still entertaining and a fun way to kill 90 minutes. Taken 3 on the other hand, now that movie is a piece of dog shit.
Almost Famous - It's been a while since I've watched it and when I first saw it I fell in love like most everyone else has over time. The more I watched it though the more it wore on me. There are a few scenes that make me thinking 'people don't talk this, people don't do this even in a movie, even in a Cameron Crowe movie.' Again, not bad in any sense but its luster has worn off for me and I think if I watch it again I'll just feel more annoyed.
