Not fond of the name. To my mind, there's only one Caped Crusader, and that was Adam West. Really not of fan of JJ and his "mystery box" bullshit. I also don't need to see Batman have to deal with a Red Ball of Death.

Is this the Batman Animated Series revival that was heavily rumored a while back, or did wires get crossed on the grapevine and there never was a revival and just Bruce Timm on a new Batman project?

I don’t know. This is supposed to be a Bob Kane/Bill Finger style series. A far cry from the O’Neil/Adams inspired B:TAS. It’s possible that Bruce Timm tried to revive the DCAU but was cockblocked by J.J. and Matt Reeves. |

If IMDB is to be believed, JJ Abrams' role got seriously dialed back since the initial announcement. He's listed as Executive Producer of one episode, and that's all. If true, Gotham should be safe from the threat of any Red Ball of Death.
