Evan Peters' best work since that first quicksilver scene.
Jean Smart is a constant delight, HBO as usual packs the supporting cast with character actor ringers.
Winslet gets to flex a wide array of emotions, and the showrunner is the same dude that directed two of the best episodes of The Leftovers (International Assassin and its sequel).
