House of the Dragon (HBO)

Yea kinda understood what they were going for but for ep 7 or whatever... Kinda silly decision.

All came into focus during the ole screaming match.

Still hard to decide who to root for... Both sides have their dark sides. And dark futures.

Getting pumped for the last few. Gotta have a little dancing before the end of season 1.

They say they're targeting either three or four seasons.  Of course this being HBO, expect some part 1 and part 2 shenanigans with the last season.

The last episode was maybe my favorite of the season. Excited for the final two.

Paddy Considine has certainly earned his Emmy nomination when it comes.

Damn this show is good.

I love the different designs they give to each of the dragons.

Raenys will obviously be quite distraught that she didnt take the greens out then and there when all is said and done.

But let's get to some war already.

Yeah, but... she's also just probably not a murderer?

Last ep leaked on Friday so be careful with the spoileys out there.

As someone who was far more sympathetic to the Greens than most people, I did find Rhaenyra sudden if brief bout of reasonableness was a bit forced. She's basically put her own personal pleasure and happiness above the stability of the kingdom at every turn up to now, so the fact that she was supposedly reasonable enough to consider their terms all of a sudden seemed a bit... off.

She basically provoked a civil war by siring three very obviously illegitimate children and trying to gaslight everyone on the topic and then she married a very obviously evil psychopath who will further endanger everyone.  Her interest in breaking patriarchy is admirable, but at every turn (up to maybe the last two episodes) it seem like the only woman she's terribly interested in liberating is herself and getting what she wants for her own happiness. 

Frankly it was seeming that people were making the same mistake with her that they were making with Daenerys; ignoring every sign of power hungry totalitarianism simply because of stated goals of liberation that were ultimately self-serving.
