I just finished rewatching the series after buying it on blu-ray. I haven't seen it in a couple years and upon rewatching I notcied the following people in small roles show up:
Simon Pegg
James Macavoy
Michael Fassbender
Jimmy Fallon (though I do remember him from before)
Tom Hardy

Yep there are quite few "before they were stars" moments.
I should rewatch that. It's one of my favorite mini series.

Odd, we just started rewatching here in our house too, on Amazon Prime. Such a great series. We have also been playing the "Holy cow did you know he was in this" game too =P
Another one for us was Michael Cudlitz, currently on The Walking Dead. Think it was episode 2 before I realized it was him.
