Looks awful. These pandemic movies are so uninspired and just come off as preening and pathetic.
I love HBO, but wow the movies they've churned out for HBO Max are stunningly bad. I won't forgive them anytime soon for encouraging Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone to make more content with that horrendous shit they put out last year.

I don’t know. I’d give Doug Liman the benefit of the doubt. Isn’t he the one taking Tom Cruise to space. Far... far away... from Covid. In space, no one can hear you curse out the crew. It's just the same recycled material we've heard all 2020. "Oh look, that guy's hoarding toilet paper, hur dur dur!" These projects were written, shot, and edited in very short amounts of time whereas on actual projects Liman would be spending years developing. It's not so much that pandemic-inspired content is "too soon" or whatever, it's more that their observations just aren't clever or interesting enough to warrant being made in the first place. |

I watched the trailer and like Sno said it's just a rehash of every dumb joke, observation and cliche from the past year. It's a movie that feels so, so lazy.

Okay I'll be honest, I stopped watching the trailer halfway through thinking it was another pandemic romantic dramedy and then later learned it's a heist film.
So I watched the rest of the trailer and it still looks uninteresting but only half of it is the dull premise I slammed it for.
So I'm half apologizing. But I still won't ever watch this.
