Looks to be a bold stylistic swing for Fincher and I'm super excited for it. Much as I love his last few movies they've maintained a very similar aesthetic since The Social Network and it's cool to see him break from that.

Maybe. Drac makes a good point, but idk how easy it's gonna be to find something none of us have seen that we all want to see. We could do Jeanne Dielman but a three and a half hour art-house film praised precisely because it's mundane and slow does not sound like something people would be down for. Nor does it sound all that fun. |

If we can find something that none of us have seen that's somewhat easily accessible that people would be interested in watching I'd be down however meeting those criteria could be easier said than done. Mank looks pretty legit, it's a movie none of us will have seen and is easily accessible by just about everyone here. The only difference is that it's a new release. Or we can do a regular round.

I got about halfway through before I got yanked away. It's pretty good, not as good as I had hoped so far but it has a lot of interesting points to it. If you aren't familiar with Citizen Kane a lot of it will go right over your head but it should satisfy fans of classic movies and old Hollywood. Let's see if someone creates a review thread before I finish the second half tonight.
