Shocker: China attempts to once again censor the world and make cowardly Hollywood executives bend to their will. Apparently the "offensive slur" in question is someone says "what kind of knees are those?" and a character responds "Chi-knees." Yup, that's it. That's what got this movie almost entirely pulled from Chinese cinemas. Look, this movie looks beyond awful and I could give a shit less about how it does financially, but it's another part of the larger issue of China bullying filmmakers into what THEY deem is appropriate. This is the same country that has no issue with containing Muslims in concentration camps, but heaven forbid a terrible, inoffensive pun from a terrible movie occurs. Even a wet blanket like Mike Pence would tell China to lighten up over their latest bout of censorship.
