I have fond memories of the book and that freaky initial live-action adaptation from 1990, which I first saw in class in 2nd grade (I think) and that now seems like the perfect time to re-watch. So, sure, I'll give this a watch. The fact that it'll be free certainly helps.

This looks horrendous. Of course it's Zemeckis overseeing another bloated (and ugly) CGI-laden flop. Stop giving this guy expensive movies; Back to the Future and Forrest Gump were decades ago and Zemeckis is not that filmmaker anymore.

It was the worst movie of his career. And while watching it I sat there perplexed thinking "who the fuck is this movie for?" That was a very expensive movie that had absolutely no audience. Yes, we all love the Zemeckis of the '80s and some of his output afterwards, but the guy is just a walking money pit for studios these days. |
