THE FINAL VOTE:
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
I've always considered X2 to be one of the more overrated superhero movies ever made. The Nightcrawler scene is pretty cool, but it never lives up to it for the rest of its duration. It feels overlong, underwhelming, and the musical score is repetitive and bombastic. Also, it was directed by a rapist. Mask of the Phantasm is a full hour shorter than X2, but does so much more with its screentime, and is shockingly a much more powerful experience. Mask of the Phantasm is clearly the superior movie, in my opinion.
The Score
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm: 3
X2: 5
I think I'm going to be sick.
Marvel gains back the lead, but even they are embarrassed about this one.
DC: 5
Marvel: 6
Draw: 1

Story: Bruce Wayne finds himself at odds with former District Attorney Harvey Dent, who has suddenly lost the African American skin pigmentation on his skin and to make matters worse became horribly scarred on the left side of his body. Blaming Batman for his disfigurement, Harvey now calls himself "Two-Face" and leaves a trail of crime to lure Batman out for confrontation, which leads to the death of the family of circus acrobat Dick Grayson. Bruce takes Dick as a foster child, despite the fact that Dick is clearly pushing 30, but their relationship becomes complicated when Dick discovers Bruce is Batman. Meanwhile, criminal supergenius Edward Nygma teams up with Two-Face as the Riddler in a plot to feed off the brainwaves of the citizens of Gotham and discover the true identity of Batman.
Pros: Tear one off and scratch my head, what once was red is now black instead.
Cons: We're five little items of an everyday sort, you'll find us all in "a tennis court."

Story: Bruce Banner survives a lab accident which alters his genetic code. Constantly harassed by his girlfriend's father, his girlfriend's boyfriend wannabe, and a pushy janitor who turns out to be his father, Bruce soon finds that when he gets angry he turns into a giant, green, hulking brute that can tear a city up with his bare hands. With the army after him to be their lab experiment and his father after his power for his own selfish reasons, Bruce must control his emotions, avoid capture, tame his inner beast, and fight a giant poodle. This all leads to an intense final confrontation where his dad turns into a giant bubble and he screams at it until it pops.
Pros: Pretty cinematography.
Cons: WHAT SCREEN DO I WATCH?!
FIGHT!
