Keep Wizard, cut Strangelove. Bold. There are better comedies and better representations of Kubrick to keep on here.

There are better comedies Disagree On the list alone, there's Some Like It Hot, which I find funnier. Not to mention Chaplin's work.

I myself prefer more spontaneity in my comedy. Kubrick's filmmaking always feels a bit calculated and mechanical to me, and while Dr. Strangelove is a good movie, I just don't jive with its flow. The best thing in it is Peter Sellers, and that's because Kubrick was smart enough to let him off the leash.
What I'm trying to say is Tommy Boy deserves a spot on this list higher than Dr. Strangelove.

George C. Scott is also a delight in Stramgelove, mainly because he doesnt really seem to know what movie he is in.
But I'd agree that there's some popular comedy fare that's sorely missing in the list. Beverly Hills Cop, Tommy Boy, Fletch are all better comedies than some on the list.

Question: can movies be re-nominated in subsequent voting rounds, or if they've already been brought up and didn't make the cut, is that it for them?

Of course you can re-nominate.

The Wizard of Oz - Keep
Dr. Strangelove - Keep
Both are slam-dunk no-brainer other-hyphenated-cliches movies that belong on this list.

Dr. Strangelove is my favorite kind of movie, one that gets better each and every time you see it. The banter between George C. Scott and Peter Sellers is some of my favorite dialogue in any movie.
I mean it's still a horrible, overrated piece of garbage and Kubrick is a wannabe Chris Nolan.

Dirty Work. Funniest movie ever. No joke, Dirty Work was probably THE movie that my friends and I would watch in junior high. To this day we still quote it whenever we're together. And there's the Saigon whore who bit my nose off!

The angriest I've ever gotten at a tweet was some dude trying to cancel Norm in 2018.
I may have participated in getting his Twitter banned.
