Keep Pulp.
As alluded to, I'm sure there are better screwball comedies, but I love the pairing of Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn, and I personally think this is the best movie they have done together. So keep it.

It's good to know PG Cooper respects IanTheCool enough to keep Bringing Up Baby, but when I want It Happened One Night, he is all "fuck you."

I feel very much the same way about when he wanted to cut Saving Private Ryan a couple of rounds back. I’m going to think on Bringing Up Baby, but keep Pulp Fiction.

It's almost like people are more inclined to take other people's opinions more seriously when they aren't constantly shitposting and voting the opposite of consensus in threads for the lolz.

Okay, so much in the same way I felt very impassioned about having Saving Private Ryan on the list, I would be remiss if I didn’t pay it forward for Ian. So, Bringing Up Baby can stay.

I'm making room on the thread for all the Bert I. Gordon movies that deserve to be up here. That, and I genuinely don't give a shit about Pulp Fiction. But people are going to vote it to stay regardless, so a vote to cut doesn't really matter in the long run. When the thread gets to a movie I genuinely care about, then I'll vote for it to stay.

In fact, we should conspire with a preliminary candidate. If we got Frankenstein or Bride of Frankenstein into a nomination round, who would vote Frankenstein and who would vote Bride? Which one would fly higher?
I'd go for both. Shit, I'd vote Ghost of Frankenstein if I had the chance.

I can see where aspects of Bride are better but Frankenstein is probably the more iconic if we can only have one. Plus it's probably the better horror movie.

Sigh. Leaving this set up while you flood the thread. We're still waiting on IanTheCool to come in and side with Bringing Up Baby, though anybody who takes the film away from him is a monster. Pulp Fiction's getting through regardless. And I still vote against it.

Don't see myself supporting either movie in the next nomination round though, going to have other priorities at the moment, but I would have no objection to a Universal monster movie getting on eventually.

Thanks everyone, I'm so touched...
Bringing Up Baby is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, honestly. I personally think its the best of the screwball comedies, because its just so... screwball. I think its Hepburn's most charming performance, and Grant, well, he's always charming.
Pulp Fiction I'm good with staying.

With those votes, both movies are at 7-1 in favor of keep, and the 4 absents from normal voters won't matter. Moving onto the nomination round
-We have 4 vacancies, but will only be voting in 2 this round again in order to build the reserves. -Voting round to follow, but we're going to have people vote 3 with having 2 advance again. Voting will again be in the comments. -Everyone has until 12pm EST 7/29/20 to nominate 2 movies. Below are everyone's nominations from last round that didn't make it in. I will keep your nominations the same unless you tell me otherwise.

I will nominate Safety Last again, #JusticeforHarloldLloyd
And since Stagecoach got no support last time I will move on and nominate Alien, which is one of those movies that makes you stop and go "wait, that wasn't on the list in the first place?" It really pushed forward modern production values, the design of the creature is one for the ages, and that chest-bursting scene is an absolute classic.

I'm keeping Fargo, which I think is the best Coen chance at making the list.
Since Roger Rabbit didn't win in animation, I'll switch that to Blazing Saddles. Let's get some Mel Brooks on here.

Dark knight and The social network should be crossed out above, as they're already in.
