Reconsidering the AFI Top 100 (FINAL VOTING ROUND)

Well, I also like Bringing Up Baby more.

I feel very much the same way about when he wanted to cut Saving Private Ryan a couple of rounds back. 

I’m going to think on Bringing Up Baby, but keep Pulp Fiction.

Okay, so much in the same way I felt very impassioned about having Saving Private Ryan on the list, I would be remiss if I didn’t pay it forward for Ian.  So, Bringing Up Baby can stay.

Hey man, I'll go all in with you on Frankenstein.

In fact, we should conspire with a preliminary candidate. If we got Frankenstein or Bride of Frankenstein into a nomination round, who would vote Frankenstein and who would vote Bride? Which one would fly higher?

I'd go for both. Shit, I'd vote Ghost of Frankenstein if I had the chance.

I suspect the OG has the better shot. I can see where aspects of Bride are better but Frankenstein is probably the more iconic if we can only have one. Plus it's probably the better horror movie.

I probably prefer the first Frankenstein but get the arguments for Bride.  Don't see myself supporting either movie in the next nomination round though, going to have other priorities at the moment, but I would have no objection to a Universal monster movie getting on eventually.

With those votes, both movies are at 7-1 in favor of keep, and the 4 absents from normal voters won't matter.  

Moving onto the nomination round

-We have 4 vacancies, but will only be voting in 2 this round again in order to build the reserves.
-Voting round to follow, but we're going to have people vote 3 with having 2 advance again. Voting will again be in the comments.
-Everyone has until 12pm EST 7/29/20 to nominate 2 movies.  Below are everyone's nominations from last round that didn't make it in.  I will keep your nominations the same unless you tell me otherwise.

I'm keeping Fargo, which I think is the best Coen chance at making the list.

Since Roger Rabbit didn't win in animation, I'll switch that to Blazing Saddles. Let's get some Mel Brooks on here.
