The Artist is also a Best Picture winner. Your point? Also one of my favorite Best Picture winners. It Happened One Night is still the best.

I enjoy It Happened One Night, Ben-Hur and The Artist. I'll take The Artist over a lot of the other Best Picture winners of the 2010s that's for sure.
But Ben-Hur should make the list this time, get outta here with you cutters.

It Happened One Night: Cut
I think this is a great movie, easily one of the best of the Capra-corn films and of the '30s anyways. But at the same time, we already have Bringing Up Baby in the top 100 and that's a better representation of that era anyways. I love It Happened One Night and it's a bright spot among the mostly shitty Best Picture winners of the 1930s, but top 100? No.
Ben-Hur: Keep
No, it doesn't quite measure up to the best of the David Lean epics that sandwich it (The Bridge on the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia) but this is still the best of biblical epics (I know that doesn't mean a whole lot) and it's hard to dismiss a movie that won 11 Oscars. The chariot scene is absolutely incredible, even more so in our disgustingly lazy CGI world, and Heston's performance at the center of the film is perhaps his best work. It would be near the bottom 100 for me, but I say keep.

By my count, including Zilla voting to keep It Happened One Night, below are the results. Calling it around lunch time in 1-1.5 hrs then putting up the next battle
It Happened One Night Keep: 4 Cut: 5
Ben-Hur Keep: 5 Cut: 3

I'll even see if I have time to watch Ben-Her on my days off this week to make it official. I actually have it in a box set that I own, I just never got around to watching because...it's so long.

This set brought to you via randomization
Director: Stanley Kubrick Written by Stanley Kubrick, Based on Story by Arthur C Clarke Starring: Keir Dullea, Gary Lockwood Genre: Sci-Fi
#22 on 1998's AFI Top 100
An imposing black structure provides a connection between the past and the future in this enigmatic adaptation of a short story by revered sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke. When Dr. Dave Bowman (Keir Dullea) and other astronauts are sent on a mysterious mission, their ship's computer system, HAL, begins to display increasingly strange behavior, leading up to a tense showdown between man and machine that results in a mind-bending trek through space and time.
Director: Steven Spielberg Written by Lawrence Kasdan Starring: Harrison Ford, Karen Allen Genre: Action, Adventure
Does not appear on 2012's Sight and Sound Poll #60 on the 2008 AFI list
Epic tale in which an intrepid archaeologist tries to beat a band of Nazis to a unique religious relic which is central to their plans for world domination. Battling against a snake phobia and a vengeful ex-girlfriend, Indiana Jones is in constant peril, making hair's-breadth escapes at every turn in this celebration of the innocent adventure movies of an earlier era.
My votes: 2001: Slamdunk, keep Raiders: It belongs in a museum, keep.

Keep both. Even though I'm not the biggest 2001 fan, I can still recognize its significance in film history.

Raiders of the Lost Ark - Keep
Both are obvious, don't really need to do write-ups on these.
