Yeah it was solid, nothing too special but looks to be setting up bigger, better things like the previous seasons have followed. Definitely made me laugh, plus they ripped on the new Ghostbusters.

A lot of hardcore fans bitch & moan about Randy, but it’s obvious he’s the strongest character right now. The Pandemic Special was quite good. The Vaccination Special was... okay. The fact they skipped over the insurrection is very disappointing. They could have really done more with Garrison as Trump, but it’s obvious they want to pretend that never happened. Focusing on the kids leads to underwhelming episodes. It’s clear there’s nothing more to do with those characters, which is why they’re “breaking up the gang.” It’ll be interesting to see where they take the show from here. But at least for this specific episode, I would have preferred if they had focused on Garrison and introduced Biden/Kamala as characters. |

Agreed. I also thought some of the QAnon jokes could've been funnier. As usual with South Park when the jokes don't entirely land is a great premise/idea but just middling execution.

Yeh the pandemic special was a lot better than the vaccine special but I still liked it. I am glad Mr. Garrison is back I really didn't rate the whole Trump thing. I have been watching old South Park recently and I wish they'd go back to the old days when they weren't so topical. The topical episodes don't age well imo. Also I used to love Randy Marsh episodes but I think they've over done it with him a bit now

SnoBorderZeroMatt & Trey making 14 South Park “movies” for Paramount + All the more to fill out PhantomKnight's Film Club list. Though I feel like it's unlikely that these are real movies and just specials. Part of what makes Bigger, Longer, and Uncut so special is how it parodies the Renaissance Disney films of the 90's. I don't see these movies having that much care put into them. The show has also been renewed until season 30. |
