This is separate from the Karen Gillian one. Not one but TWO female-led Pirates of the Caribbean movies. This is perfect. One for Doomsday and one for SnoBorderZero. I think Doomsday should go work on the Margot Robbie one. He deserves the hotter girl. |

I thought you, above all, would be excited for this. Two competing projects just seems excessive. Pick one.
I'm all for bringing new blood into the franchise. I think the Jack Sparrow character has run its course, though, after Dead Men Tell No Tales. Much as I did enjoy it, Jack was just a full-on cartoon character in it. He might as well have just been animated. And this is coming from me.
So if either Margot Robbie or Karen Gillan want to try their hand at one, then great, I'm all for it. But having two different ones in development at the same time...I don't know.
Honestly, my ideal idea for a new movie would be one that retcons the 5th and has Elizabeth going off on her own mission to break Will's Flying Dutchman curse about 3-5 years after the events of At World's End, aka what the 5th one SHOULD have been about instead of Will Jr., but there's no chance in hell of that happening.
