I'll do an honest vote and say I'm voting for Last Jedi for three reasons:
1. It's 100% going to lose (primary reason).
2. It sucks less than Fellowship or just about any Star Wars movie.
3. It pisses whining fanboys off, and that makes me happy.

I hated Fellowship in 2001. Might have been the first time I agreed with Richard Roeper. But I kinda dig it now. Peter Jackson hadn’t yet shaken off his Sam Raimi plagiarism. After the giant turd that was the Hobbit, it’s nice to go back and see the silly shaky cam stuff in a big budget LOTR. It’s like watching the operating room scene in Spider-Man 2. Random as hell but fun. |
