When I was a kid living in Abilene, TX there was only one radio station and they played Country/Western. I don't listen to much of it anymore, but at the time Kenny Rogers was one of the biggest C/W stars out there. If you've never listened to any of his stuff, check him out. He will be missed.

I'd forgotten about that silly chicken restaurant venture of his. Minnie Pearl tried a chicken chain before he did, and it tanked. I can't imagine why he thought it would be any different for him. Even if it had actually worked out, I doubt that's what he'd want his legacy to be. I think it's kinda sad that most people associate Paul Newman with salad dressing.
