It's crazy to think I've probably seen around 20 or so of his films and I've not even come close to his entire filmography. Shit, I doubt even Ford's various biographers have seen all of them. I peaked at his Wikipedia page. Dude was directing atleast 3 movies a year, even in the 40s/50s/60s. I doubt there was quality control. Probably a good amount of stinkers in there. |

His first talkie was in 1929. Dude was directing multiple silent films per year since 1917. I peaked at the IMDb page for that movie, The Black Watch, and the front page reviewer says John Ford had already directed 50 movies by that point. |
