Haven't seen Let It Be, but I do know that it's not well regarded and the members of the band hated how it portrayed them.
I'll try to watch it before this one.

Next he's going to turn the Ed Sullivan tapes into another trilogy.

I just finished Part 1 and immediately noticed that Part 2 is already available. But I need a moment to digest.
First Impressions:
— Paul walked in guns blazing. He was certainly in charge. George seemed overwhelmed. John gave zero fucks. And Ringo’s just there. It’s funny that the Paul & George fight began over a John song. Paul & George are arguing over how to do Don’t Let Me Down and John’s sitting there perplexed. It’s not even his song at that point. That then spilled into Two of Us and George’s infamous retort, “Paul, I won’t play at all if you don’t want me to.”
— John got into it after a couple of days. He seemed invested in the project and there was a period within that first week in which the Beatles were happily workshopping songs. It’s a 180 from the original documentary which was all doom & gloom. It’s also fun to watch how the Beatles created their songs.
— They acknowledged the passing of Brian Epstein and how that affected the band. That was a touching moment.
— Michael Lindsay Hogg was over his head. “Let’s go to the desert with burning torches.” Bruh. You have 3-weeks to put this entire project together. Get your shit together. You ain’t helping. George’s anxiety was through the roof at that point.
— The highlight, without a doubt, is the ending. George quits the band and the Beatles turn into a heavy metal band with Yoko on vocals. Holy shit!

An hour and a half into it so far. Agreed with most of above. No question who is in charge at this point with Paul, which was really cool to watch. John seems pretty chill at this point in his life which was nice to see.

John seems pretty chill at this point in his life which was nice to see. Part 2 was a 180. Paul’s depressed. John’s a total goofball. And George is totally invested. He’s even picking the singles! Part 2 is also where Peter Jackson over indulged. If this had remained a movie, Part 2 would have been a montage.

Finished all three. Really enjoyed it. Loved seeing origin moments like Harrison helping Ringo on Octopuses' Garden, which I always assumed he had.

1970 documentary restored from original 16mm print and in the correct aspect ratio. Dracula has a hard-on.
