I might not be the best judge on this movie, because I've only seen the TV show in bits and pieces and was kind of "whatever" on what clips I saw, but it felt to me like even if I liked the show I should have skipped the movie in theaters and rented it. There was way too much time spent on inserting a super cringe "plotline" to link all of the pranks in the movie which wasn't very funny at all. Say what you will about the Jackass movies, but at least the people who made those were smart enough to know why people were there, cut the shit, and got straight to the point. I did find the eulogy and job interview pranks pretty funny, though. But that was like ten minutes of a ninety minute movie.

It's not even the worst horror movie of the year based on critic's scores. Brahms: The Boy II, The Turning, and The Grudge all had horrific critical receptions. It's worse than THE TURNING.

False, but thanks for playing. Who appointed you as the new Professor of Cinema? I got my degree the same way I got my high school one: by buying it off of some dude I met on Craigslist.

Still adopting the PG Cooper approach of listing movies in the order I see them in. I like it.
1. The Gentlemen **1/2 2. Birds of Prey **1/2 3. The Invisible Man **** 4. The Way Back ***1/2 5. The Hunt *1/2 6. Onward ***

That way you don't have to make any premature ranking decisions.

That way you don't have to make any premature ranking decisions. And retain some mystery for your year-end list.

Our 2020 lists are going to be so bare for most of the year.
It's giving me a great opportunity to catch up on old films across all these streaming platforms, but I try to go to the theater at least every couple of weeks so it's a weird feeling having my first movie of 2020 be in my home.

That way you don't have to make any premature ranking decisions. Or... You have two lists. First Instinct and Hindsight. You can then compare the two and figure out why some movies held up and why some didn’t. And also see which of your opinions were affected by outside influences.
