The decade wouldn’t be complete unless we discussed SnoBorderZero’s favorite movie. It’s funny. Except for PG Cooper, who was 4-years-old, we all dismissed the Clone Wars animated series, cause well, it looked like shit. How do you go from Genndy Tartakovsky to this GGI abomination? And did we really need two separate Clone Wars cartoons? But history makes a fool of us all and this show has directly led to Doomsday and the Mandalorian, so we gotta give it its due. Unless you build a time machine and erase this show from existence. Poor Doomsday would be working on Geostorm 2 right now. Goals for 2020. Anyway, the series was launched with a 90-minute theatrically released film that was mocked even by Star Wars fans. We’re led to believe this takes place in-between Episodes II & III but the continuity is all off. The prequels infamously gave us a whiny bitch useless man-child named Anakin Skywalker but in the Clone Wars cartoon he’s a pretty competent Jedi Master. He’s even given a padawan named Ahsoka Tano, whose never referenced in any of the live-action movies, except for a voice cameo in Episode 9, despite being a major character here and in the Rebels animated series. Might as well consider this an Elsewhere adventure, like those Ewoks movies from the 1980’s. The plot revolves around the Sith kidnapping Jabba the Hutts’ son and blaming it on the Jedi. Their hope is for Jabba to kill Obi-Wan & Anakin, and for the Jedi to then retaliate and dispose of Jabba so the Sith can take over his territory. It seems like a silly and overly complicated scheme. Too many elements need to fall in place for it to work, and of course, none of them do. Clone Wars is ugly, busy and inconsequential. I can see why SnoBorderZero loves it so much. Godspeed, my man, and a Happy New Year/Decade.

Movie sucks and the animation is hideous but I've heard the show gets very good.

I've only seen this crapfest once, when I wasted good money to see it in a theater. What I mainly remember about it was how incredibly annoying Ahsoka was, especially her calling Anakin "Skyguy", and that once again the plot didn't make the slightest bit of sense in relation of Palpatine's ultimate plan from Episode III. I did eventually watch the first couple of seasons of the Clone Wars series, and enjoyed them. Never did finish the series, although I probably will some day.

This movie has no redeeming qualities. Still better than Return of the Jedi.
