Holy shit, if you haven't read the Wikipedia synopsis of Book of Henry do yourself a fucking favor. It's absolutely off the chain. Wow! This is so completely absurd that I can't believe someone actually wrote this, let alone directed it. The boy genius's plan is to... take out the guy with a sniper rifle!? Even M. Night is shaking his head no. It sounds dumber on paper than in practice. |

Cool stuff, there's a reason why they're the best in the business. Not as interesting as the old matte painting and model works from the originals, but obviously it's really impressive.
Funny too that they even cleaned up continuity errors with Rey there at the end. Oh J.J., isn't that what you and your script supervisor are paid to do?

You're definitely giving both Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith too much credit; neither film was successful at doing either of those things but again the eye of the storm is on this latest trilogy because it's managed to be far more polarizing and divisive than even the prequels at their peak.
If the prequels' task was to depict the turn of Anakin Skywalker to the dark side, sure, on a surface level it accomplished that. But did it do it well? No, not at all, and Phantom Menace is largely to blame for wasting time with making Anakin a goodie little boy that has no flaws, and then suddenly in Attack of the Clones he's an arrogant, impulsive teenager. I have issues with Rise of Skywalker, but it's still superior to any of the prequels. Those movies are worthless. Harmless, but worthless.
