I'm doing another delve into old Siskel and Ebert reviews/videos so I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to these guys. I've been moving through their 'worst of the year' episodes which has helped me look fondly on some movies I have long since forgotten.

I just got done watching that Farrelly Brothers movie Kingpin about twenty minutes ago and it's safe to say I didn't like it by quite a lot. Anyway, on the film's Wikipedia page under Critical Reactions, it mentions Siskel and Ebert being among the movie's more positive supporters, with Siskel even going so far as to put it in his Top 10 of 1996. Whaaaat?
That review isn't on YouTube, but man, do I want to hear him defend the movie to THAT degree.

I remember not liking it anywhere near as much as the people that love it, of which there are many. I don't even consider it one of Murray's top 5 performances. |

Ebert had one of the hottest takes of all: he liked Cop and a Half. I don't think Siskel ever topped that, but I could be wrong.

When did Ebert's website turn to shit? I used to visit that site every week back in the 2000's. It was very user-friendly and I could kill hours going through his old reviews and mailbag. Now the site is a giant clusterfuck and the search engine doesn't work properly. Thumbs down.
