Just got home from seeing Snake Eyes. As a Kung Fu movie, it was adequate. As an origin story for the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero character of Snake Eyes, it's far from ideal. On the plus side, it's been so long since I've seen G.I. Joe that I don't actually remember all that much about it. What I do remember however, is that Snake Eyes never speaks. It was never revealed why in the cartoon (I suspect it was in the comics, but those were totally separate from the cartoon and I didn't read comics as a kid.), and it certainly doesn't matter for this movie, because he talks all the time and never injures his voice box, takes a vow of silence, or has anything else occur to explain why this might be the case later.
G.I. Joe is a story that belongs in the 80's, and I don't understand why this movie wasn't set during that time period. The 80's continue to be exceedingly popular throughout modern pop culture, and it would likely be more readily accepted if it had been set in that era.

Hi all,
I watch the movie yesterday. I saw Snake Eyes. It's great movie. Last Friday I didn't go to the movie. Because of the weather. We have monsoon storms in Phoenix. It was raining hard for 5 days in a row. So now, the weather is doing better. The temperature is change. So now, we have a hot weather.
