That makes sense though. It pretty much nails everything you learn in Screenwriting 101.

That's pretty funny, sounds like our professors are on the same page. My Screenwriting I class had us use "Witness" as an example of how to properly write out story beats. I've still never seen "Witness", though I will in the next couple months because it's one of the few Peter Weir films I haven't seen.

My teacher used Tootsie as his example of THE screenplay. That's another one that I don't have much of a desire to see again anytime soon.

Clearly, these teachers need new examples.

My professor also used "Brick" as an example. It's a good movie, and I guess a good teaching aid, but not a great movie either. Maybe they just got tired of "Casablanca" and "Chinatown" every semester.

Vertigo was one that we were shown pretty often. It's my favorite Hitchcock, so no complaints here.

My tutor was obsessed with Blade Runner. I love that man.

We watched the First Acts of so many different movies in my class. A few of the movies were The Exorcist, Silkwood, Midnight Express, Raiders of the Lost Ark and 21.

I've been wanting to pick up the Blu Ray of it, but it's still, like, $30. Nah, I'll wait for a price drop.

Man, I love The Exorcist. I actually watched it again about a week ago. Today's youth finds it "boring and long" and "not scary" because it has a plot and doesn't have jump scares, yet go out in droves for shit like "Ouija". I hate our generation.

I usually forget which people are "always in." So if you guys would like, let me know now if you'd like to be considered in every round and I'll put a star next to your name when I'm drawing them on pieces of paper.

SnoBorderZeroBoth Mysterious Skin and Irréversible contain violent content, so if you're at all apprehensive, just let me know and I'll cook up another list. You mean Irreversible isn't a family film?

I went into it assuming it was a sequel to The Land Before Time.
