All right, IanTheCool , you're gonna have to remind me what services you have access to. And I'm gonna have to find a way to figure out what's on those services in Canada. If you go to www.justwatch.com/ and search for a movie there's a filter option that lets you select country (doesn't show up until you're actually in a movie's page). That will set that country as your default though so be sure to switch it back to the US when you're done if you use the site for anything else.

I bought the Kwaidan Blu-ray a while back and never got to it. This'll give me an excuse to pop it in.
Or High and Low. I was getting to a Kurosawa marathon and never quite got there.

Tubi, Netflix, Prime, Crave, and Criterion Channel. Tubi, Netflix, hulu, prime, peacock, hbo Alright, let's try this: Lolita (1962)Amores PerrosA SunTop FiveThe HostAnd as an added bonus, since PhantomKnight enjoyed The Seventh Seal so much, I'm recommending it to you too. All of these should be available across the streaming services you listed, but let me know if you run into any issues or if you've seen most of the picks. I also remembered that I also have Disney Plus, which includes a lot of adult oriented stuff through Star.

Of the remaining, I have no strong aversion to any, and random.org has given me Lolita. Now i just got to try and remember the movies i watched for 1godzillafan and write those this weekend. I hope I took good notes - god help me if I have to rewatch them.

All right, looks like it's time to finally cross Hidden Fortress off the list.

Money Plane (2020)
I’d been wanting to see this movie since I’d saw the trailer last year. Did it look terrible? Absolutely. Was I engrossed by Kelsey Grammar hamming it up in the trailer shouting “now bring me money?” Of course, who wouldn’t be? I watched this three weeks ago as the lord intended—inebriated—and am going to try writing a summary/review from my piss poor notes.
Directed by a Lawrence brother, Money Plane centers around Jack Reese (Adam Copeland, WWE’s Edge) and his crew of thieves. Opening with a failed art museum heist that looks and feels like a student film; you’d think that the quality of the filmmaking can only improve, but you’d be wrong. The script has Jack speaking into his earpiece within earshot of every security guard in the joint, and the “museum” exterior looks like any defunct hospital you’d find in a bombed out post-industrial northeastern mill city. After the painting Jack’s crew is there to steal is not present, his crew escapes via terrible fight choreography and sound effects which tell me I’m in for a treat.
When Jack goes to speak to the man who hired him for the heist, Kelsey Grammar’s Darius “The Rumble” Grouch, Grammar explains to the audience he has bought Jack’s debt and threatens his family unless Jack’s crew can pull off a heist of the titular money plane. Grammar is meant to be intimidating, but the delivery of his threat is not sold whatsoever; or Edge has had too many concussions at this point in his career to understand what movie he is in. I did appreciate Grouch calling Van Gogh and other painters “a bunch of bitches” in comparison to the painting he wanted. I have to wonder how much improvisation he’d added to the lines given the ludicrousness of the plot: a bunch of the deadliest and wealthiest criminals fly virtually non-stop around the globe in order to take advantage of international gambling laws, betting on anything their heart desires, with the plane carrying a million in cash and “a billion in crypto.
After the laziest heist-planning montage possible, we are introduced to Edge’s family at home with maybe 5 minutes of his wife Denise Richards—fulfilling her contractual obligation to get paid for her work, I suppose. Jack reads a bedtime story to his clearly 13-year-old daughter, who falls asleep immediately where Jack and his wife discuss his bind not at the foot of her bed, but sitting on the same bed the daughter is sleeping. Did I mention this movie is amateur? Jack asks his best friend Harry Greer (Thomas Jane) to keep an eye on his family while he is gone, who promises to investigate the failed art heist as well. Thomas Jane is one of the few people who knows what movie is in, and he seems to be having a blast getting to smoke his pipe on set.
Once arriving at the money plane, we’re introduced to the talented Lawrence brother, acting as concierge to the plane’s gambling facilities in the worst first class set I’ve ever seen. The middle-aged gentleman playing the bookkeeper appears to be related to the Lawrence family, but I haven’t been able to confirm. Jack and one of his crew are undercover as criminals, with another as a flight attendant to help navigate the cargo hold and keep the real criminals at play—one of whom is a Texan high-roller played by the middle Lawrence brother in a clear highlight performance in the film. The gambling feats are filmed terribly; the lens glare means the hold-em game makes no sense. The extras cannot act and the roulette scene only works because of the middle Lawrence’s performance.
More terribly choreographed fights happen between Edge and the pilot, the flight attendant heist lady and some jersey greaser, and while Grammar calls edge to pressure him into robbing the plane faster we’re treated to video feeds of various blurred and incomprehensible torture scenes the criminals are betting on. The director Lawrence is the crew’s man on the ground, and looks like if fat Edward Furlong suddenly became addicted to meth. There’s no effects budget (or budget?) for this film throughout any of the “action” sequences. Bad fights happen, Thomas Jane figures out that Kelsey Grammar owned the initial painting and just moved it or stole it already to setup Jack to do the money plane heist, and something happens with USB drives.
My notes have long since trailed off in this recap are as incomprehensible as the movie. There’s apparently a scene with Thomas Jane cooling the least appetizing pasta source imaginable with, according to my notes, “DDUTCH ANGLES”. He deals with some attacker’s at Edge’s house, I think. What I do remember is that after successfully stealing the money and deciding they will take down Kelsey Grammar, Edge’s crew decides they don’t really want the money after all and throw it all out the plan for some dumb reason.
This movie sucks. 1/10.

I watched the first scene of Money Plane out of morbid curiosity. It really does look like a student film in every regard, unfortunately it doesn't bridge the gap into 'entertainingly bad' status and just looks sad.
