My housemates and I are having some guests over for the weekend. I'll be wearing a cape, hood, and Venetian mask in the vein of Eyes Wide Shut. It's great because while it is a reference to movie most people there won't get, it's so obviously a costume I won't have to deal with too much "What are you dressed up as."

I didn't dress up this year. Went and had dinner with the wifey after work and made cupcakes with my niece the night before. Watched Halloween II up until just about now. Pretty quiet Halloween in our building, but the sound of rain at the end of the night made everything perfect. Here in California we haven't heard that sound for a long time.

We don't get trick or treaters here. The kids usually walk by all the businesses and they hand out candy but there's very little door to door in my neighborhood.

Didn't go out but went and saw the Hollywood Studio Symphony perform 'Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton.' At the end Elfman came out and sang a handful of songs from Nightmare Before Christmas including one with Catherine O'Hara. Great show all around.
