I think their big problem has been figuring out how to make it and fit it within the overall MCU. To which, I would say look at what DC did with Joker and The Batman, and just make it its own thing outside the main continuity.

Yup. They dropped the ball after Endgame. They should have just done standalone films like Blade (or even Daredevil) and then reboot with X-Men and Fantastic Four when the rights became available. I get that the multiverse allows them to have their cake and eat it too, but audiences didn’t respond to it the way they did with the Infinity Saga.
