Skip Bayless is the Tucker Carlson of sports pundits. He has every right to be upset. Rondo, Dwight Howard and JR Smith are NBA champions. Michael Jeffrey Jordan would never have allowed that.

I've come to accept that there are two reason why I have a bias against LeBron over Jordan:
1) My formative elementary-middle school years Jordan was his run. Everyone has nostalgia.
2) Media frenzy/information availability means now everything LeBron says has way more scrutiny than earlier generations. He comes off as whiny at times, but 30 years ago would that be the case or would it blow over?
To think his resume isn't even done yet.

SnoBorderZero frankytI've come to accept that there are two reason why I have a bias against LeBron over Jordan: 1) My formative elementary-middle school years Jordan was his run. Everyone has nostalgia. 2) Media frenzy/information availability means now everything LeBron says has way more scrutiny than earlier generations. He comes off as whiny at times, but 30 years ago would that be the case or would it blow over? To think his resume isn't even done yet. LeBron James’ greatest achievement as a player was taking the 2007 Cavaliers to the NBA Finals. His greatest achievement as a General Manager is two championships with the Miami Heat, one with the Cavaliers, and as of now, one with the Lakers. Michael Jordan won six championships with the Chicago Bulls. Your Larry Bird won three with the Celtics. Kobe won two without Shaq. It’s difficult to root for today’s NBA when it’s literally superstar teams versus superstar teams. We all know LeBron can’t win by himself. By that I mean, he can’t win without another superstar. It would be like Larry Bird saying, “I’m gonna team up with Patrick Ewing and go play for the Knicks.” Or Michael Jordan saying, “this Chicago team is trash. I’m gonna join the Pistons. Isiah Thomas is the best point guard in the league.” This is why everyone was in awe of Jimmy Butler is Games 3 & 5. We haven’t seen that level of basketball since Kobe 10 years ago. If Kobe were alive, he’d be rooting for Butler, not LeBron. The fact Butler won two games against LeBron & AD is insane. LeBron couldn’t even win one against Tim Duncan in 2007. Charles Barkley is 100% correct. People need to stop comparing LeBron to Michael Jordan. His career is most similar to Magic Johnson. People forget that Magic Johnson not only won five championships but he went to the Finals nine times. And he won the NCAA his final year in college. Literally, between 1979 and 1991, people watched Magic Johnson a total of ten times at a championship series and he won six of those. How that any different than LeBron going to the Finals 9 times between 2011 and 2020. People raving about that when Magic Johnson literally did that too! And on top of that, Magic spent most of his career playing with Kareem, another superstar. And speaking of Kareem, Kareem played for 20 years, 1969 to 1989, and he won a championship in ‘88. So yeah, let’s talk about LeBron’s 17 years but ignore Kareem’s 20 years? If people compared LeBron to Magic and Kareem, he wouldn’t come across as overrated and people wouldn’t constantly be looking for excuses to criticize him. You can’t blame that on modern times cause you don’t see Steph Curry getting around-the-clock hate — or even Giannis (I don’t think). The problem with LeBron is that the media wants him to be Michael Jordan but he’s not and he never will be. The next Michael Jordan was Kobe but the media didn’t like his personality and he was playing with Shaq. I think if Kobe had won in 2008 and gotten a three-peat instead of a two-peat, his legacy would be a lot different. You couldn’t automatically have LeBron hop over Kobe the way the media does.

... wrong.
Its always kobe won two but you never include pao. Even kobe himself said he would never have won without him. But sure keep that narrative that it was all one man in the triangle. Makes sense.
Just like how mjs teams were trash and scottie wasnt a star.
Magic did that in la. Lebron did it in cleveland for a long time. Small markets matter. Whats that stat that every sitting president has seen the lakers win at least once? Don't compare the showtime lakers to Cleveland with jr smith and big z. Get outta here.
And magic only had kareem? Wtf are you talking about?
Your need to say lebron isn't great is skip bayless level jackassery. Let it go.
If lebron had even marginal coaches like those guys had it would be a much different story. Ty lu isn't in the same league as zen master.
