She doesn't look that... Super? I mean I don't really know marvel except from a couple comics I've read, but she was always a bit intimidating to a point. Larson is anything but that.
I'm sure it'll change once a traile comes out tho.

I'm not impressed with the pic, but after how incredibly well Quicksilver turned out, despite his lame magazine cover, I'm not interested in making any judgments until I see a trailer.

Looking forward to watching an entertaining and fun if generic and formulaic superhero movie while at the same time being bombarded with standard internet hot takes saying that Captain Marvel is 'The superhero movie we all need,' 'The most important Marvel film to date,' 'A possible Best Picture nominee?' 'Captain Marvel will SMASH the Patriarchy!' and 'Captain Marvel is the best superhero movie ever produced.' But maybe it will be watered down since it's post-Wonder Woman if we're lucky.

Ok, I'm still stupidly pumped for this movie because I love Carol Danvers, and I was excited when Larson was cast. But man, she seems...off. That voice isn't doing it for me.

That shit was lame. She looks lame. She's not intimidating. That's the most powerful person in the marvel universe? Like in the future will we see her tossing hulk around?
I think Larson was a bad choice. Good for her though I wouldn't pass on that paycheck either.

My main issue is the delivery of her lines. I'm not fond of the little girl, raspy voice. Needs more conviction and oomph to it. Speak up, speak clear, speak out!
I'm hoping that it's going to be in part due to the trauma and amnesia that she sounds the way she does. We only heard her speaking to Fury throughout the entire trailer, presumedly.

The introduction of the X-Men to the MCU has some interesting implications for the future of the Captain Marvel franchise. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Rogue wind's up stealing her powers, once Brie Larson's contract is coming to a close. It would be great to have a movie version of Rogue who actually resembles the comics.
