Just theorizing here on Hawkeye and Loki, but I feel like it's spoilery if any of it is true. Read if you feel so inclined.  Hawkeye and his family will probably have a small, but key part in the film for the sake of tugging on emotional strings. I'm just going to guess he's retired and with his family at this point, and either him or his wife kicks the bucket. If he dies, we'll get an emotional scene with his wife holding him and that will infuriate whichever Avenger is there to find it out as well (Natasha perhaps?). If his wife dies, we'll get the same, but that will be what draws him back into the fight. It would be crazy if his entire family dies, but I can't imagine them going that far.
I hate to say it, but Loki is dead. Unless he uses some of his visual trickery and that ends up being a twist, I feel like the trailers have given a lot of this away. Just a bunch of guesses, but I'd say Thor gets thrown out of the ship and into space (by either an explosion or Thanos), Hulk actually gets saved by Loki with the tesseract by teleporting him towards Earth (which leads to his crash landing), and then Loki gets killed after after giving up the infinity gem to Thanos. After all, Thanos probably views Loki as having failed him. Needless to say, if Hawkeye's role is small, I'm glad they're keeping him out of the promotional material, unlike another big Disney property. |
