I just got back from seeing this few minutes ago so I'm going to keep this review short.
The Highest compliment I can give this movie:
If you need someone to kill Liam Neeson in "Taken" you send John Wick.
Holy Hell is this one of the best action movie in years or what? This Movie is Fucking Brutal!
I'm lost for words how good Keanu Reeves is in this role. This is easily his best role since The Matrix. And no I'm not exaggerating on this.
The gun shoot out is phenomenal to watch. There 2 peices of action sets that are so well choreographed words can't describe it. When they break into the house to kill him and The Club scene just beautiful and outstanding. I can't wait to get it on Blu-Ray and replay it. It's that well done.
I don't know who is actually reading this review. But if you haven't seen this movie "Get up and Go see it RIGHT NOW!"

Definitely interested in seeing this. It's nice when I'm gearing up for Oscar contenders that a fun, well-made movie like this can sneak in there right before.

This movie was fantastic. Not only were the fight scenes surgical, plentiful, and well-choreographed, but they didn't pull any of that shaky/upclose cam crap that can detract from the enjoyability.
On top of that, there was such a great aspect to the movie with the "safe zone" along with assassins being a community of sort with their own currency and rules. So cool.

John Wick is having a great life on home video. In a time when you'd expect people to be catching up on "Oscar movies" it's John Wick that's getting all the buzz instead. Almost every day for the past 2 weeks there's a new person on social media raving about John Wick.

Oh my god, this was awful. I actually drifted off during one of the many action sequences. All of which, by the way, are kind of a blur to me now. John Wick is revenge porn at its very worst.

I don't like movies with repetitive action sequences, zero plot, a paper-thin protagonist, and cartoony villains. Oh and the most hackneyed motivation ever for a plot. If this is the future of action movies, then I'm bowing out.

Personally I hate CGI blood, but I thought the ending was adorable.
I can see its charm, but it was rather... ridiculous at parts. How many times can you shoot someone point blank and keep your shirt clean?

Beautifully shot, fascinating alt-world and Keanu being an absolute badass.

If I had made a movie at 13 it would have been John Wick. It's stupid and over-the-top but so delightfully juvenile that it's difficult to hate. B+ says Doomsday |
