Couple other random nitpicky thoughts:
Hawkeye is statistically incredibly unlucky to have four family members all die. You'd think at least one of them would be among the half that lived.
Nora lost her whole family and that was only 2% of the pop, not 50. |

Its crazy how many of the other movies they brought into this one. This really is for those of us who have followed the entire franchise. Newbies would be so lost. Well, they may be able to follow the basic thread, but there would be so much they wouldn't really get.

So if loki has escaped with a stone into a new timeline, isn't he still working with thanos at that time? Theoretically thanos could come back when loki inevitably shows back up to the current timeline right?
Does hulk change when he like has sex or shits? I mean can our sewage system even handle his number 2? And what size queen would be able to handle that big green monster? I'm glad he's happy and all but he's gonna leaving a lot of issues in his wake as the full time green guy.
And again... Is falcon a super? Can he even whip that shield strong enough for other super villains to even feel it? Isn't he just a trained pilot with some wings and pistols? At least give him some super juice just to give him a little peacd of mind.

It's not entirely clear what the result of Loki getting ahold of the Tesseract will be, but the return of Thanos being a consequence doesn't seem likely at all. Loki will want to stay far away from Thor and Odin for a while, after having his ass handed to him so badly. Red She-Hulk Falcon isn't super, and isn't likely to be able to do much with the shield. Sam was originally trained to be a pilot, but that was before he met Cap. At the end of Age of Ultron, Falcon was at the upstate New York Avengers facility, alongside all the other new recruits for the team. They all would have received extensive combat training from Steve and Natasha. He's going to have Bucky along to continue his training.  |

It's extra slow second time around. I mean it turns up once they start going into the past, really once Scott lang shows up, but I found myself a bit bored for the first hour on this rewatch.
Reminds me of infinity war before guardians show up to remind you these movies are fun.
Final battle is still pretty solid though, the cringey moments still induce cringes but for a Tuesday 830 showing there was a whole lot more cheering this time around.

Is anyone else a little bothered that the eventual highest grossing movie of all time was directed by the Russo Brothers? The Russo brothers... No problem at all. This is the highest grossing movie of all time list, not the best film of all time list. James Cameron's place at the top is due to his ability to appeal to the masses, not in crafting a good story. He combined amazing visuals & 3D effects so groundbreaking that they STILL haven't been matched a decade later with a generic story that's just a combination of other successful stories (especially his own Titanic). The Russo Brothers may have their names in the top slot, but I doubt they are under any delusions that they earned that spot on their own. Endgame is the culmination of a decades worth of movies that the public has become emotionally invested in. Most of that investment was not done on their watch. That said however, some of the best films in the MCU have their names on them. When it comes right down to it, I'd far rather watch Endgame than Avatar or Titanic. I look forward to what the Russo Brothers have in store for us. I have zero interest in anything James Cameron plans on making. |
