Lets take the most boring character from the movies and build a tv show around them. One of the most memorable Star Wars stories I ever read was about the two Stormtroopers on the Death Star who were having a conversation while Obi-Wan was shutting off the tractor beam. Any cast of characters can be given an opportunity to shine with the right writer. |

Lol. Disney+ is all "Fuck off" to the Snyder cut by releasing on March 19. Even though it wasn’t the MCU proper, the same thing happened when Season 1 of The Punisher released the same day as the Whedon/WB Cut. Deja vu. |

Sam gives up the shield because he's a coward.
Bucky gets cockblocked by his PTSD guilt. Also he sucks at Battleship.
Anyway, good first episode. Love how they're digging into a Winter Soldier/Civil War vibe, including bringing Henry Jackman back to score it. I'm in the bag for this one.

I hope they didn’t blow their budget on that opening scene. Curiously this show only cost $150 million, versus WandaVision's $225 million. I found this opening sequence to be more impressive looking than almost anything we got in WandaVision (not to say WandaVision looked bad by any means). Unless, like you said, that's going to be one of the major highlights of the show when it comes to action and special effects. That'd be kinda silly. Although I'm curious how these are allocated. Contracts and a per episode basis can inflate the price, despite not necessarily having nearly as much going into it as one of their movies with a similar budget. But Falcon and the Winter Soldier certainly has a great first impression. |
