I'll check it out just to see if there's any change from the leaked pilot. I suspect they changed the closing scene, since the network decided to dump the woman who is featured in the pilot from the series. |

I love the guy playing Constantine but the pilot was mediocre. As for the girl, they left the door open for her to re-appear.

Ok so I didn't associate this with comic books - I did check the TV section before I created a thread there lol. My only exposure to Constantine was the movie and this series. In any case, I did enjoy this first episode.

The pilot wasn't without its issues, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit overall. It's good that they dropped Lucy Griffiths' character, because I didn't think she was very good. Matt Ryan, however, killed it in the role. I'll definitely keep watching.

Matt Ryan is perfection. I liked this pilot. I think it set up the world we are entering quite nicely and leaves loooots of room to explore. Effects might be a little cheap but it's its first season. I'm more concerned about character composition and arc potential. If it remains strong the budget will improve.

Yeah, I'll probably check out one more episode as well. If it's good, I'll continue. If not, I'm done. Arrow and The Flash have set the standards for current comic book shows. If you don't meet those standards, I won't waste my time.

The changes to the ending were pretty much what I expected. I enjoyed the pilot overall, but since the series isn't going to feature the same characters working together, it's not practical to just the show based solely upon the revised pilot. The fact that NBC has stuck Constantine on the Friday late spot is already a bad sign for the future of the program.

The new girl is okay. I see that they wanted someone older and with more edge. The first girl is good too. She was a nice gateway to the audience. I'm fine with either one of them.

I like Zed so far. I agree it looks like they wanted someone with an edge. The chemistry isn't quite there yet but you can see it's pontential. Matt Ryan is great ha. He can easily carry the show if they can keep the writing serviceable. Nice fake out with the cigarettes. Rockne S. O'Bannon wrote this one which is interesting, though a little freak of the week territory, but they did tie it in with the larger scheme. I liked the arc with the priest. Fun lead in to week next.
I'll keep watching.

I got to see the pilot episode before Hulu remembered I'm not back in the states. I can't wait to see more when I get back. I enjoyed it.
