I gave in and got DC Universe for this and the upcoming Swamp Thing. The 4 1/2-minute trailer for this show is what sold me. It looks like it's DC taking Michael Keaton's quote from Batman to heart: "YOU WANNA GET NUTS? COME ON! LET'S GET NUTS!!!"

This and Swamp Thing are BY FAR the best TV shows DC has done yet. Yeah, the Pilot for this was great, and the other 14 episodes of Season 1 were delightfully weird, very funny and surprisingly touching.
We're talking about a show that can have a scene like this:
And then this:
While still bringing the right amount of pathos to the characters. This is very much an out-there show, but how it weaves in legit drama and gets excellent performances from its cast while giving us some weird shit is impressive. I love it. Can't wait for Season 2.
