Well it only required him to grow facial hair and wear a turtle neck so it was not a big enough physical transformation for Bale. Makes sense. Um... no? What about the later years where Steve Jobs got sick and became super thin?

What about the later years where Steve Jobs got sick and became super thin? Losing weight isn't a good enough reason for Bale either. Jobs would need to have become a quadruple amputee for Bale to be interested. Nothing says commitment to becoming your character like cutting off your own limbs.

The much-ballyhooed movie about the late Apple founder Steve Jobs has been "put into turnaround" by Sony Pictures, The Hollywood Reporter reports. That means Sony will not make the film, and the project will now be shopped to other studios. Universal is said to be interested, with an eye on next year's awards season. The proposed film was being produced by Scott Rudin and others, and was to be directed by Danny Boyle from a script by Aaron Sorkin. The project has struggled to cast a lead, moving from Leonardo DiCaprio to Christian Bale and most recently, Michael Fassbender. A source says Boyle needed the film to go into production in January, because he had a small window before starting another project, while Sony has several movies already in production for 2015 and wanted the film to shoot later. www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2014/11/20/sony-drops-steve-jobs-movie-project.html

That Scott Rudin guy is rumored to be who the Kevin Spacey character in Swimming With Sharks is based on... sounds like he hasn't changed much.

Not sold on Fassbender at all. I enjoyed him as Magneto but that is about it. The rest of the casting is pretty good though, including the always entertaining Stuhlbarg.

He looks nothing like Jobs, to the point of it being distracting. Hopefully the turtle neck and facial hair fix that up a little.

He IS my hero sir!
And yea now that you mention it I would look more like the Woz than Rogen does. They would have to use CGI to reduce the size of my genitals though, would make Fassbender look bad.

There is absolutely no need for ANOTHER Jobs movie. The stink of the Ashton Kutcher one is still in the air.

Trailer doesn't show much of anything. Fassbender's performance could be interesting.

Still not excited for it but more interested now that I see Arnold Rothstein is in it. Michael Stuhlbarg is always awesome.

Yeah, I've come to accept that nothing will ever top Noah Wyle in Pirates of Silicon Valley.
