That strike ended 7 months ago and weren't they just doing reshoots? Most of the stuff that was close to finishing but in a holding pattern has been chucked over the fence by now. Ah well, the rest of us will be focused on the Furiousa sequel that we'll absolutely be getting...

I believe that was the original intention. But then Part One got overshadowed by Barbenheimer and now they’re trying to pretend there’s no Part Two. Obviously, Dead Reckoning ended on a cliffhanger which they’ll have to follow up on, but I believe they’re trying to make this new movie feel independent.
